Test and Tag NT Regulations
The WHS 2011 regulations state all items located in a hostile operating environment shall be tested and tagged on at least an annual basis in accordance with the specifications in AS/NZS 3760:2022. Items in manufacturing environments should be inspected, tested and tagged on a 6 monthly basis.
A hostile environment is defined as one where portable electrical items are exposed to heat, dust, moisture, corrosion, abrasion or vibration and could include kitchens, bathrooms, workshops, meeting rooms, or poorly set up offices. ATS offers a Microwave Leakage Testing service to ensure all microwave ovens in the workplace comply with AS/NZS 60335.2.25.
RCD’s are lifesaving devices that will switch off power in the event of an incident such as electric shock. Under WHS regulations, RCD’s protecting circuits in hostile environments must be tested annually to ensure their tripping time is within the stated tolerances of AS/NZS 3760:2022. RCD’s protecting non hostile environments should also be regularly testing.
ATS can also supply essential services in the area of Exit and Emergency Light testing and Fire Protection Equipment.
